How much personal information do you share online? Do you know that some people can access them even without your knowledge or consent? Some individuals learned that lesson in a very interesting way.

Random people were invited to have their mind read and they were told it was for an upcoming program on television starring “Dave.” Little did these people know that the supposed “psychic” was merely using information about them gathered via the internet.

Watch this video and see how it happened:

Dave warmly welcomed people in his tent. He began by telling a woman “I see a school. In Antwerp.” The woman replied “Yes,” obviously impressed with the accurate guess.

Another girl was asked to turn her back around and then the psychic simply said “Insects.” “Pardon?,” she asked, perhaps a little bit puzzled. “I feel 2 insects on your back. Is that possible?” “Yeah. They’re butterflies,” she eventually confessed, referring to the tattoos of butterflies on her back with the words “Live, Laugh, Love.”

“An orange motorcycle?” he asked a guy, who replied with a smile, clearly feeling impressed with Dave’s skills.

“Interesting love life. I see three? Four people?” he told a young woman. “Not a lot of people know that,” responded the girl.

At this point of the video, Dave took things to the next level and dug a little deeper – this time using financial information of the people.

“Do you know your bank account number? Because I do.”

He even asked a few of them to take out their cards and he correctly guessed the numbers with his eyes closed.

He told another woman “Last month you spent 200 Euros in alcohol” and the woman simply gasped in shock.

A man was told “I see a house for sale. 795,000 Euros” to which the man can only say “Scary.”

Finally, the secret was unveiled as the curtain of the makeshift tent dropped and showed several men on ski masks retrieving personal information of the victims while using the internet. A huge monitor screen displayed the person’s Facebook profile along with other relevant sites. Much to the shock of the invited individuals!

The lesson they all took home that day was best summed up on the statement showed on the screen: “Your entire life is online. And it might be used against you.”

Share this on Facebook so you can warn your friends not to share too much personal information online.
