That statement should be a huge eye-opener, especially for parents who are almost always keeping their child from playing and telling them it’s nothing but waste of time.
Moreover, there are yet others who add that playing and being childlike is also necessary for the grownups.
For example, world-renowned scientist Albert Einstein believes that “Play is the highest form of research.” In the same vein, psychologist Abraham Maslow once declared “Almost all creativity involves purposeful play.”
Those points are definitely something for all of us to think about.
Personally, I think that serves as an invitation for all of us to drop what we’re doing, once in a while, and spend time doing something that’s just fun. No devices and video games should get in the way. Besides, playing a sport with friends or maybe playing with your kids are some of the best ways to reduce stress – and be a little closer to those that matter most to you.
